The property management company you choose is critical to your long term success in Real Estate. They are the people who are going to do the majority of the work on your property and all of the interaction with your tenants. Asking the right questions can weed out the companies that are not the perfect fit. Two of the most important are: "What are your management fees?" and " How do you market the property?". Some companies will charge you a marketing fee and others will charge a one-time tenant placement fee. Others may just charge a percentage of monthly collected rent. Knowing these answers and crunching the numbers will be a few of the essential pieces in the initial analysis of any potential investment property.
